It's time to Speak the Word with author, Bible teacher and evangelist Pastor Joanne Ramsey. Speak the Word Ministries is called to teach God's word and encourage the body of believers. Speak the Word. Speak the Word. God's Word. Speak. Speak. Speak God's Word. We invite you to visit us online at speakthewordministry.net that's speakthewordministry.net and now here's Pastor Joe continuing her message titled mind is the control tower of your life, friends. You know, in Proverbs it says, my son, pay attention to what I say. Listen closely to my words. Don't let them out of your sight. He says, never stop thinking. Never stop thinking about them. Talking about his words. Don't ever stop thinking about God's words. Verse 22 says, these words are the secret of life and health to all, to everyone, not just preachers and Christians. Actually, it's good. The Word is good even to people that don't believe. If you're speaking God's word, you're activating his truth. He said these words are the secret of life and help to all who discover them. Hallelujah. Brothers and sisters, there is a battle. I want you to know today that there is a battle happening every single day. Not in the streets, not in the courts, not in the government offices. But the battle is right here in your mind. The war that you're facing today is not fault with swords or guns, but it's fault with thoughts. The Lord tells us how we can fight our wars by bringing Satan's thoughts that he's put into our minds into captivity. God has given us instructions on this in second Corinthians. It says, for although we live in the natural realm, we don't wage a military campaign employing human weapons using manipulation to achieve our aims. Instead, our spiritual weapons are energized with divine power to effectively dismantle the defenses behind which people hide. And verse five says we can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture like prisoners of war every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the anointed one, God Almighty Himself. Verse 6 says, since we are armed with such dynamic weaponry, we stand ready to punish any trace of rebellion. As soon as you choose complete obedience. Hallelujah. Praise God. Friends, that's the key. That's the key to what I'm talking about here today. The key is obedience to God's Word. I want you to think about how often the Scriptures talk about your thoughts and your mind. And in the word of God we are reminded to take every thought captive and to think on things that are pure, lovely and true, according to Philippians, chapter four, verse eight. And I'm going to read it to you in the Passion translation, it said, so keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind, and fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising Him always. Hallelujah. Why do you think that God tells us to focus on the things above? Well, you know, it's because God knows that the battle isn't just happening around us, but it's happening within us. It's happening within our minds. You know, think about this. A person can be totally free, free on the outside, but still be enslaved in his or her mind. Think about that. For example, a person could be surrounded by numerous opportunities. But if their mindset, the mindset is full of fear, if it's full of insecurity or change, they will never take a step forward. They will never make any effort. They will never walk into what God has already prepared for them to walk in. Saints, every day the enemy tries to conform you to this world, to press you into a mold of fear and doubt and compromise. But God has called you to do something far, far greater. He has plans for you that you know nothing about. Do you know that? He tells In Jeremiah 33, 3 says, Call on me and I will Answer you, and I will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. I'm going to say that again. You know, he says he's got plans for you that you know nothing about. As I said in Jeremiah 33, 3 says, Call on me and I will answer you. So all you got to do is call out to God, and He says, I'll answer you. And he says, and when I'll answer you, he says, I'll tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. You know, God wants you to be transformed, brothers and sisters. He wants you to have a new mind, to think like he does. And he tells us this in Romans 12:2. You know, we have to understand that in Romans 12:2, where it says not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. I want you to understand it's not just advice. It is a divine command, a call to revolutionize. The way that you think is what this verse is for. You know, brothers and sisters, every action begins with a thought. Every decision that you make begins with a thought. Every step you take starts right here in your mind. If your thoughts are filled with doubt, your life will be filled with hesitation. If your mind is focused on fear, your life will be limited to anxiety. But if your life is filled and rooted in faith, your life will be filled with purpose. What you believe, that's your thoughts. So if your thoughts are filled with doubt, your life is going to be filled with hesitation. If your mind is focused on fear, your life's going to be limited by anxiety. But if your life is filled and rooted in faith, your life is going to be filled with purpose. And in this little book, as I've mentioned before, you can find it on my website. And there's other materials over there that can really benefit you. And remember this, like I said, if your faith is filled and rooted in faith, your life is going to be filled with purpose. Friends, your thoughts shape your reality. I want you to think about that. And once you think consistently determines your faith, determines your direction and your destiny. God orders our steps, and nothing in our journey is wasted. And this is something I really. I'm going to repeat it twice. I want you to write this down. Your mindset determines your direction, not your circumstances. I want you to remember that your mindset is what is determining your direction, not your circumstances. One of the greatest decisions the enemy has is to convince you and me that our circumstances are in charge. And our circumstances, brothers and sisters, are not in charge. We are Spirit beings and operate in the supernatural, not the things that we see in the natural. But Satan wants you to focus on the things in the natural. This is how he tricks you. This is how he deceives you. This is how he fools you and pulls the wool over your eyes so you can't see the truth. It's a matter of fact, the Bible tells us in 2nd Corinthians 4,4 that the God of this world has put blinders on the non believers so they can't see the truth. But I believe that he puts blinders on the Christians as well, you know, and blinders over their eyes so they can't see the truth either. But we have to keep in mind that we are spirit beings and operate in the supernatural, not the things we see in the natural. But Satan wants you to focus on the things in the natural. In other words, brothers and sisters, he wants you to look at your bank account and say, I'm limited. Saints. This goes against God's word. It goes against God's word. It tells us in second Corinthians, you probably want to. You need to write this down. 2nd Corinthians 9, 8 in the New living translation says, and God will generously provide, provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. Now that's what God says. You know, that used to be one of my prayers when in the natural. I was living on a fixed income, but I never saw myself that way. You know, you have to be extremely careful how you see yourself. There were so many things in my life that looked impossible. The enemy tried to have me focus on things in the natural, but I didn't. I have my book here. I carry it around with me sometimes. I have several of these, but this was my first one. And God was giving me things and you might want to do the same thing. And I would write down things, for instance, and I would date it. I think this was dated in 06. And it says, the enemy defeated by the blood. And I would pray and I would write this down. And also as I would write it down, then I'd go back and I'd add the Scriptures, because everything God gives me and gave me, it lines up with the Scriptures. So I would write these things down, all the things that I'm doing today and make the word alive and speak the word ministry. These things he gave me back in 2004 and 5. And he said, not in putting my sins against me. And I say, father, I thank you. My mistakes does not change your plans and purpose for my life. We make plans. You know, the Word tells us that man plans his way, but God says he directs our steps. And believe me, that's the truth, you know, but as I said before, God will provide for you. But you have to be extremely careful how you see yourself. It's very important that you see yourself the way God sees you and the way you do that is by focusing on his word, listening to his word, reading his word and speaking it out of your mouth. Remember that everything is voice activated. Everything that God has created responds to his voice. It was created through his voice, and it responds. Your body responds to your words. The plants responds to your words. You know, they've done tests on that where they've taken plants and had people to go in and use all kinds of bad language and, and the plants would dribble up and die. And then you have, you can take the plants where you're just speaking God's word over, just speaking positive stuff over to plant and speaking to it. And it thrives. It thrives. You know, it's not like a human or anything like that. But I'm just saying that everything responds to a voice. And like I said, you have to be extremely careful how you see yourself, because Satan wants you to look at your past and say your damaged goods. As a matter of fact, he's been doing a really good job on me for the last week or two through those that are close to me, by bringing up things that happened 40 or 50 years ago, and I don't even think about him anymore. And I'm sure that the enemy does that through other people to you too. But you have to keep in mind that you can't think on those things. You know, as Paul says, you know, he don't think on the things of the past. He just thinks on, you know, God's word in his future. You don't want to do that. And so because when the enemy says to me, he brings up something in my past, before I became a Christian, before I accepted Jesus, I just say, lord, I thank you. That according to 2nd Corinthians 5, 17, that according to your word, that I became a new creature, a new creature altogether, that old stuff, all that stuff that I did in the past, all that stuff, friends, that you did in your past, all that stuff, if you're a new creature has passed away and all things have become new, and you don't want to focus on things in the past, you just want to focus any of that bad stuff, it's gone. Okay, it's gone. But Satan wants you to look at your past, for instance, and say that you're damaged goods. But God sees you as his good creation, as I just said in 2nd Corinthians 5:17. But God sees you as righteous, you know. He tells you this in 2nd Corinthians 5:21. God knows our past, but yet God sees remarkable splendor in the present for us. Number three. Satan wants you to look at your present and say, it's too late. But we know that that's not true either. God looks at your present and says, I am with you. He looks at your past and says, I redeemed you and brought you out of darkness. This is what he says. He brought me. Joanne Ramsey he brought me out of darkness. He translated me out of the kingdom of darkness. It tells you that in Colossians 1:13 that he translated me out of darkness into the kingdom of his dear Son. And it says here in Colossians 1:12, 14 and the voice translation, thank you, Father, as you have made us eligible to receive our portion of the inheritance given to all those set apart by the light. In verse 13 it says, you have rescued us in other words, he has rescued you and me from dark powers and brought me and you safely into the kingdom of his dear Son, whom you love. And verse 14 says, and in whom we are in other words, in whom you and I are redeemed and forgiven of our sins through his blood. Hallelujah. You know that's a statement. You know he looks at your future and says, for I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. In Jeremiah 29:11. That's out of the King James translation Saints, when you believe that you're who God says you are, you will believe his promises are true. When you believe his strength is made perfect in your weakness. Suddenly, suddenly your direction changes. Suddenly the things that used to hold you back will lose their power over you. Praise God. Thank you, Jesus. You know why? Because when your thoughts are fixed on him, fixed on God, fixed on His Word, you begin to see your circumstances from a completely different angle. We talked a little bit about circumstances in the first part of this message that I didn't have time to go over. But remember, when your thoughts are fixed on God and the things above, you begin to see your circumstances, those things that are going on around you from a completely different angle. What once looked like a mountain now becomes a stepping stone. God also sees your brokenness, brothers and sisters. He sees your brokenness. He sees your flaws and scars. These marks left by the struggles of life do not take away from the beauty God sees when he looks at you. Think about that. In Proverbs 20:24 says the Lord directs our steps. So why try to understand everything along the way? We can't understand it all. You need to understand that we cannot understand it all. That's why we have to put our trust in God, the One who wrote your future long before you were born. He tells us according to Psalms 139. And this is coming from the Passion translation, it says, you saw who you created me to be before I became me, before I ever saw the light of day. The number of days you planned for me were already recorded, he says in his book. And verses 17 through 18 says, Every single moment you are thinking of me is saying that God here that every single moment you are thinking of me. How precious and wonderful to consider that you cherish me constantly in every thought. Praise God, bless His holy name. Oh God said, your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore. When I awake each morning, you're still with me. This is what David was saying. And in Psalms 37:23 25, in a new living translation, it says that the Lord directs the steps of the godly. As I was just saying earlier, he delights in every detail of our lives. Not only is he direct in our steps, but he delights in directing our steps, though he said they stumble. God said, you know, you know sometimes you're going to stumble, and sometimes you might fall short. But his words, as though they stumble, he said, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by their hand. Thank you, Jesus Saints. God does not want you to to be pressed into the world's way of thinking. One definition for pressed is to apply pressure to and this is what the world is trying to do today through the media. We talked about this before in music and movies and et cetera, through the things that we listen to and the things that we watch. But think about this. Every decision, every choice you make, as I said before, over and over again, begins right here with a thought. Every step you take starts right here in your mind in Romans 12:2. And a new king James declares, not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. And in the voice translation it reads, I'm going to read it to that Same verse again. I'm going to read it to you in the voice translation. In Romans, Romans 12:2, it says, do not allow. Do not allow this world to mold you into its own image. Instead, be transformed from the inside out by renewing your mind. As a result, you will be able to discern what God's will is. Praise God. And whatever God finds good, pleasing and complete. You know, the Lord tells us to guard our hearts, you know, and King Solomon says it best. I think he says, above all else, guard your heart, he says, for it is the wellspring of life. And you'll find that in Proverbs 4:23, he said, for everything you do flows from it. You know, you may not think about this, but everything you do flows from your heart. So it's really very important what you listen to and what you see, because it's going to end up in your heart, and what ends up in your heart is going to flow out of your mouth. Friends, this is necessary for at least three reasons, because your heart is extremely valuable. We don't guard worthless things, do we? Another scriptural perspective means for us who are in Christ Jesus to be alert through the power of Christ within us to what enters and dwells in our hearts. We always have to be careful what these little ears hear, what these little eyes see, what this little mouth says. Take my word for it. You will get what you say. The things in this book I am now doing, but I spoke these words. God gave me these words, these came out of his book, and I spoke them. I came into agreement with him. And at the time I was a widow living on a fixed income. And you say, well, that's not the way it is. It's the way you say it. No, it's not, but it is the way you speak it. And you're going to have to speak it the way God says. Okay? It gives me great pleasure to share God's word and his truths with you. And so I pray today that the words that were spoken in this message, I pray that it blessed you. I really do. Speak the word to your body. Speak the word to your mind. Speak the word to every circumstance that mountain can't stand. You've been listening to author, Bible teacher and evangelist pastor Joanne Ramsey on today's edition of Speak the Word. Help us to understand that you are not the only one who puts thoughts into our minds, that Satan also puts thoughts into our minds and we have to be careful to know the difference. I pray today, Lord, that we will know your voice so well and your word that we will recognize it immediately and that we will bring into captivity every thought that does not come from the Lord. Lord, help us to get a revelation of your truth. And the truth is that you have created all of your children to be speaking spirits. According to 2 Corinthians 4:13, it is through our thoughts that we speak. Our thoughts become words.
