You know, you may not have ever given much thought to it, but your voice really moves God. And today we're going to talk a little bit about how your voice moves God and how we get our voices to move God. And so that's going to be one of the main things that we do today because I don't think that a lot of people realize that your voice and when you're praying that it really moves God, but it really does. And your voice does not move God just because you're perfect, but it moves him because you belong to him. Praise God. You know that, you know, I think that's awesome. That means when you kneel to pray, your father doesn't compare your voice to someone else's. He knows you personally, brothers and sisters. He knows you personally. Your worship touches him. Your heart touches him. Our prayers come up to him like a sweet fragrance to our Father. And as a matter of fact, it tells us in Psalms 114:2 that he does that and also refers to it as a sweet incense I also want you to know, because there's always two sides to things. We always need to understand that. I also want you to know that Satan hears your words too. And that's why it's so important that you. That you speak what God's word says in God's word only in Psalms 141. 3. In an easy read version, it says, lord, help me control what I say and don't let me say the wrong thing. You know, we also, I think we're probably more familiar with the scripture where David was crying out to the Lord and he said, oh, Lord, he says, put a guard on my mouth and a bridle on my tongue. He said, lest I should sin against thee. You know, I got to thinking as I was putting together this message that so many believers don't recognize the importance of what they think about, and they don't think about the words coming out of their mouths either. You know, and so this is really a big thing. Most of us are not aware that it's our mouths that are leading us. You know, we think that we're leading ourselves, but our mouth is what is leading us. And so we're not aware that it's our mouth that is keeping us down. It really is keeping us broke, and our mouth that is keeping us from getting a breakthrough. Friends, we are speaking a different language and we aren't even aware of it. And I'm going to repeat that again. We are speaking a different language and we aren't even aware of it. Most of us are speaking words that are bringing the opposite from what you want. You know, the word tells us in James 3:10, in the New King James, it says, out of the mouth, out of the same mouth come forth blessing and cursing. These things my brethren ought not to be. So he says in verse 11, he said, do clean and polluted water flow out of the same spring? And I said, you know, we think about that. In verse 12, it says, My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree produce olives? Can a grapevine produce figs? In the same way a pool of salt water cannot produce fresh water, you know, and you might say, well, Pastor Joe, what does that have to do with my thoughts? What does that have to do with the way I think, like I was saying up here earlier, we're speaking a different language. We're speaking a different language that we're not aware of, and we're speaking words that are bringing to us the opposite of what we want. A lot of us are speaking words that, you know, maybe you need an increase in your finances. Some of you is having trouble, you know, making your house mortgage or your car payment or something. But you're speaking. What you're speaking is the wrong language. It's the wrong words in order. A lot of times what you're speaking is driving that further away from you. And so we have to learn how to speak something that will attract it to you like a magnet, and not draw something negative to you like a magnet. And it tells us here in James 3:10, in New King James, it said, out of the same mouth come forth blessing and cursing and these things my brethren ought not to be. So he says, do clean as. Like I just said, do clean and polluted water flow out of the same spring. And think about that, brothers and sisters. And I just, as I just read, he says, you know, my brothers and sisters, he says, can a fig tree produce olives? No. Can a grapevine produce figs? No. In the same way a pool of salt water can't produce fresh water. What I'm saying here is you can't speak negativity. You can't speak what the world says and expect to get what God says. It just does not work that way. And this is what God. This is an illustration. I mean, there's other understandings, revelations of these Scriptures. But as I was putting this message together, the Holy Spirit gave me this one. And he says, because, you know, he said, you can't produce this with that, and you can't produce with that. In other words, he says, the words that you've been speaking, that language is a foreign language. You can't produce what you need because you're not speaking the right words. And that's what he is saying, you know, when he says, can a fig tree produce olives? No. And so what he's saying is, can those words that you're speaking produce health in your body? No. Can those words you're speaking bring finances? No. Because they don't line up. You know, it's like the words we speak, he tells us, he says, as a rudder guides a ship and a bit in a horse's mouth causes him to go in the right direction. In verse three, he said, also your tongue can guide your thoughts, guide your emotions and your body into paths of prosperity and success and can be a tremendous. And I want to repeat that it really can be a tremendous, tremendous power for good. But you need to know that on the negative side, your tongue can be used to damage and destroy your physical body, and it can steal your health, and it can Steal your finances, Actually, everything. It can steal everything. Your tongue will control your thought life if you allow it. You don't have to allow it. You know, the Lord tells us in 2nd Corinthians 10:5, where he says to bring every thought into captivity that exalts itself against the true knowledge of God. What he's saying here is that those thoughts, negative thoughts that the enemy is putting into your mind and trying to get you to give voice to, he said, you can bring those into captivity. And the way you bring it into captivity is by replacing it with what God's word says. Like I said, it said, your tongue will control your thought life if you allow it. And he says, corrupt words can destroy you and those around you. As a matter of fact, it tells us in Ephesians 4:29, in the New living Version, it says, do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And in Proverbs 6:2, it says, you are snared with the words of your lips. You're called by the speech of your mouth. Some translation says, you will be trapped by your words. And you know, as a matter of fact, brothers and sisters, it was when I first came into the ministry, one of the things that the Lord began to speak to me about was about my mouth. And it made me, you know, he began to help me to understand. I didn't understand it overnight. I didn't understand it in two weeks, three weeks, or a month, or a year. But gradually, daily, I began to understand, you know, what he was saying. Friends, you really need to be more conscious of what you're saying. We all need to be more aware of the words coming out of our mouth. And I want you to know this. I've been teaching the word of God for, I don't know, 29, 30 years. And this is what the Lord has called me to do. And I was thinking this morning as I was going over my message that I'm going to continue teaching on the power that is in God's word. As long as I have a breath in me, that's how long I'm going to do it, because that's what God has called me and he's anointed me to do. And you're going to hear it. You're going to hear it over and over and over and over again. You know, we have to. You know, God tells us in Psalms 32, 9, he said not to be like A horse or a mule, which like understanding, which must have their mouths held firm with bit and bridle or else they will not come with you. He is saying, don't be stubborn like a mule that doesn't have any understanding. And I know that some are listening. Sometimes we are stubborn. I've been stubborn myself, and I have not always listened. But you're going to have to understand that the only way that you're going to make it the only way that there is no other way. It's just like when you become a Christian. There is no other way to God, to Jesus Christ, except through Jesus, except for the Son of God. There's only one way, Father, and that's through Jesus Christ. And the only other way that you're going to receive those things is as the Bible tells us to call those things that be not as though they are. He tells us this in Romans 4:17, to call those things that be not as though they are. And so in other words, he's saying, don't keep speaking those things you've been speaking if they're not working. Begin to look into God's word and find out what it says about your situation. It doesn't have to be like you want it right now, because that's the reason why you're speaking it in the first place. You're speaking it so that you can get it the way you want it. When I began speaking things, it wasn't the way I wanted it. But I realized through the teachings and the Lord speaking to me that I couldn't continue to give voice to the things that I was saying because every time I would give voice to this thing, this is what I'm getting in the natural. And I didn't want that. But we're calling things out of the supernatural into the natural, the same way that God created the heavens and the earth and the universe. And so that's what we're going to have to do. Like I said, he said, don't be stubborn like a meal that doesn't have any understanding. In other words, friends, don't let your mouth cause your destruction. And that's basically what we're talking about. So many of us are not aware of the fact that it's our mouths that's causing our destruction. So don't. Don't let it. Don't let your mouth keep you from receiving your healing or keep you living on Barely Get Alone street. Praise God. Renew your mind. Change your way of thinking. I want you to know that when you do this, it will Be a life changing experience for you, I promise you. Or God's Word promised that you would live that abundant life that Jesus died for, according to John 10:10. I want to help you. I want to see you prosper and I want to see all of you healthy. God has called and anointed me to help you and that is my goal, that is my mission. But you're going to have to practice bridling in your tongue. I know other ministers, you know, they preach and they teach on different subjects and I always teach on it, coming at it a different way. But the Lord, it's always with God about the Word. And the reason why this is true is because he is His Word. The power is in His Word. Brothers and sisters, that is where your power is. Jesus is the Word. You know, the power is in the name of Jesus, but the Word is Jesus. And so when you're speaking that word and you're speaking it in the name of Jesus, you are actually speaking in the same authority that he does. Because he said, as he was on this earth, so are you. And as you see him do, so can you do. And so when he spoke, mountains moved, the water stopped, you know, the clouds, you know, disappeared. And he's saying, you've been endued with the same power and authority. He said, I'm living in you. He says it's not me doing it, but it's him that's living in us. And James 3, 6, he says, you set on fire the course of nature by what you speak. I want you to think about that, saints, because just as heaven acts on your words, so does hell act on your words. And I know that a lot of people, some of you have heard this and some of you haven't, but we don't understand sometimes that the enemy is also listening to the words that we speak. It's just like you know in Psalms, where the Bible tells us that he's given his angels charge over us and to keep us in all of our ways. And he also tells us that his angels, you know, quicken to his voice. You know, whatever you know, he says, they quicken to it. But we also have to understand that the demonic spirits, angels that when Lucifer fell, all these other ang him and they're also standing by and they're listening too. And so when you're speaking what God says, then God's angels are hearkening and hastening to bring that about. But when you're speaking what Satan says, they're hastening to hearken to bring that about. So when it boils down to it's really our choice, it's really up to us, it's really up to you, and it's up to me to give voice to the same thing. We have to understand, just because you have authority thought, it does not mean that you have to speak it. We have. The enemy is putting negative thoughts in our minds all the time. God is putting thoughts in our mind, but he's putting those thoughts there. But you don't have to speak them. They don't. You know, you don't give birth to those words or those thoughts. You don't give birth to them until you actually speak them. And don't forget that you don't have to speak the thoughts, you don't have to give birth to them. You can let that thought just die. And if you don't give birth to it by speaking, it's going to go down. It's going to go down, it's going to disappear. And you're going to be amazed that, you know, once you start practicing this, it's going to take a while. I mean, I don't deny that I'm still practicing every day. We have to realize that we're in a battle and our weapon is the word of God. And so when he was talking about in Ephesians 6:17, about willing the sword of the Spirit, and also in Ephesians about putting on the full armor of God and wielding the sword of the Spirit, because that's His Word. That's His Word. And so that's the only thing that really Satan fears is His Word. And you know, you will begin benefiting from all the things that God has stored up for you. You know, you may not be aware of this, but he has stored up. He has stored up treasures for you, has stored up treasures for me. But God, you know, God also wants to open the windows of heaven and pour out his blessings on you, you know, where you won't even have room to contain them all, you know, he said, test him in Malachi 3 10. Hallelujah. He said, test him. Friends, changing the way you think. I know that it's not an easy task, but I believe that you can do it and I'm confident that it will be worth your effort. And I do know that he wants to open up the windows of heaven and pour out blessings on you that you can't contain them all. I can remember one time, blessings on me and blessings on me. But as I was going through the Word one day, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and he said that. That he was going to pour out blessings on me. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over. And he also gave me an analogy for that, because the Lord is really good about giving you. He wants you to understand what He' saying to reprehend that. So he was giving me. And I know I've mentioned on this before, but I'm going to say it again. But as a farm girl growing up on the farm, we had to pick green beans and we had to pick cucumbers. All kinds of things that we had to do. You know, back then, you know, the children worked on the farm, too. I must have been, I don't know, 9, 10, 11 years old. But we were brought up that way, you know, so it was. It wasn't a big thing. You know, anybody can pick a bean or a cucumber. And so my dad had us out in the bean field picking beans and had these. Those baskets is kind of tall and kind of big at the top and little at the bottom. But I had picked and I had filled up my basket to full because my father had told me when I finished filling it up, I could quit. And then he came by, brothers and sisters, and he shook my basket down, and all my beans went down about halfway when he shook it. And so I had to keep picking. So God was letting me know. And I'm letting some of you out there know today that's listening to this message. You have already been blessed. And maybe you're not blessed like you think you need to be or would like to be blessed. But God says today he's pouring out blessings on you. Good measure pressed down and shaken together. And just when you think that he can't bless you anymore, he's going to pour out some more. And I don't think that I'm the only one that he is speaking to about this. But remember this. He wants to give it to you. Good measure pressed down and shaken together. And that doesn't matter if you've been receiving blessing upon blessing or it doesn't matter if you hadn't been really getting very many that you like. I thought at the time, this was a few years ago, that the Lord had already just blessed me abundantly, abundantly, more than I could ever dream about. You know, I look back, I was listening to a song this morning, and it talks about, you know, looking back to see where God has brought you from. You know, it's amazing, too, when we don't think that we're making any progress, that you can just look back and see where God's already brought you from and really where he wants to take you. And so I was thinking about that this morning and my heart just gets overwhelmed because when I look back to where he's brought me from, it's really a miracle. Every step really was a miracle. And it still is. You know, the things that he has me to do and the things he has me to say and write, he's given me the ability and qualified me to do it. And so I'm really excited about that. Jesus says that we can do all things through him that strengthen us, that infuses us with his power. And so what he's saying there, we don't even have to do this under our own power, but do it under his power. As a matter of fact, just like it says, you know, I think it's in Galatians 2:20 where he says that Paul was saying, it's no longer me living, but Christ Jesus in me and the life I now live. I live in complete faith of the Lord Jesus Christ that gave himself for me. So we're living by the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ. Actually, that's how you even got born again. It wasn't by your faith, it was the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was him attracting you to him to begin with, you know, it was him stirring up your spirit. As when you're praying for your loved ones now, your children or other people, friends, loved ones. You're asking the Lord, you know, to keep attracting them to the Lord. You're asking them to keep stirring in their spirit, you know, just keep working with them, you know, and keep sending people across their path, you know, to minister to them. It tells us in Philippians 14, an amplified version, it says, I have strength for all things in Christ who empowers me. He said, I'm ready for anything and equal to anything through him who infuses inner strength into me. He says, I am self sufficient in Christ's sufficiency. And you know, that's what God told Paul. You know, when Paul kept praying about the thorn in his flesh. You know, a lot of people think that was sickness, but I really don't think it was sickness. I think it was the people that was coming against him. Everywhere he went was kind of like a thorn in his side. Sometimes a situation or a person can be a thorn in your side. And I think that's what he meant. But Paul nevertheless, Paul kept praying and asking God to remove that thorn that was in his side. And God told him that his sufficiency was enough. Speak the Word to your body. Speak the Word to your mind. Speak the Word to every circumstance that mountain can't stand.
