Has the Lord given you a job to do for Him? I know the Lord told me that my job is to teach His people about the power that is in their mouths. Your words affect everything else in your life.
Whoever guards his mouth and tongue
keeps his soul from troubles.
Proverbs 21:23 (NKJV)
It’s not easy guard our words. We are in a spiritual battle on earth, and our enemy is the devil. The devil has no rules. His goal is to get you down, defeated, and ultimately destroyed. He will take people out any way he can. He works to get people to focus on worries, pressures, false accusations, diseases, accidents, and even self-destruction. If you allow these thoughts to fester in your mind, they will eventually come out of your mouth. Guard your mouth and your tongue!
Remember, if thoughts are coming at your mind that are in any way destructive, those thoughts are not from God. Jesus told us how to discern between the thief, Satan, and Himself, our Good Shepherd.
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.”
John 10:10,11 (NKJV)
