Dear friend,

We’ve been programmed to think the way that we think. If you’re like me, there are areas of your mind that you’d like to reprogram! God promises that He will help us to change the way we think.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Romans 12:2 (NLT)

God created us in our mother’s womb.  He knows us intimately and understands us even better than our parents can. He even knows what we are thinking!

O Lord, you have examined my heart
and know everything about me.
2 You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.

Psalm 139:1,2 (NLT)

Sometimes our thoughts don’t line up with what the Bible says.  God can help us to throw all those wrong thoughts down to the ground until they obey the Word of God!

 

. . . casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

Do you want your thoughts to be captured by Christ?  Tell your thoughts to submit and agree to God’s Word.

As we enter 2026, Pastor Jo reminds us that our words act as the architect of our future, setting the boundaries for what we will experience. To walk in victory, we must refuse to project past mistakes into our future and instead align our speech with God’s promises. By meditating on the Word and following the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we access the strength and courage commanded in Joshua 1:8-9. Because the power of life and death resides in the tongue, we should never speak doubt, but rather trust in the "future and a hope" promised in Jeremiah 29:11. God has a successful plan for your year; believe His Word and speak only of the victory He has already placed within you.
